Major router issues [RESOLVED]

Major router issues [RESOLVED]

Postby sdac » 23 Aug 2012, 11:17

Just when the new server was up and running, a router exploded.
Since the router was the only gateway to one specific broadband provider, all connection to that provider was lost.
The server thus had to be moved to another network, get a new IP-adress, and all domain names had to be pointed to the new address. Because of the slow replication of domain name updates, there has been a downtime of 12 hours. Very sorry about that.

Things should slowly get back to business.

yes, but it fixes itself if you do a ctrl+F5 a few times.

Something is still messed up and I think the guy at the data center fell asleep now or something. I managed to get 4 hours of sleep but he was up all night working his ass off to fix everything. :)

Had to move to yet another network, this is driving me crazy. Now we just wait for the DNS to replicate again and everything should be fine in a few hours.
