I'm back, let's get Principia released!

Hey all,

Sorry for my inactivity here. As most of you know Bithack is a one-man-company, so when something happens that affects me personally, the company is unfortunately also stalled.
I don't want to mix business and personal stuff but I still feel the need to explain my absence.

Early October my then-pregnant girlfriend had to go to the hospital due to very high blood pressure. She was later diagnosed with pre-eclampsia which is a pretty rare pregnancy related medical condition. A few days later she went into premature labor because of the pre-eclampsia and our daughter Ellen was born on the 12th of October. My initial plan was to release Principia before she was born, but because this very unexpected event occurred I had to step back and take care of the situation. Ellen was very tiny when she was born and had difficulties staying warm and needed to be cup fed every two hours to keep a stable blood glucose level.

Everything is fine now and I will be able to return to work and finally finish off Principia.

Hey sdac and welcome back. My wife had the exact same condition with our first born, who was 5 weeks premature. Congrats and glad everything went well :)

I am pleased to hear that despite the difficult situations that all is well. Life is a journey with many hills, vallies, forks and twists. Sometimes making it through to the next day is a major accomplishment. I can safely say that I understand what you went through and know that those were some tough times to endure. Congratulations on your new arrival and for finally being able to bring her home. Best of luck to you in the wee hours when it is bottle time. ;-)
